The e-Observer EB from Bergen R/C Helicopters is our latest camera ship from the very successful Observer line, this time in Electric Power.

The e-Observer kit comes with NHP 800mm blades, 2 servos that have been modified for 360 degree rotation for the camera mount, and the airframe itself.

You need to supply; 2 sets of radio gear (one for flying the heli, one for the camera mount), the electric motor, the ESC or Speed controller, batteries (for the heli radio equipment, the camera mount radio equipment, AND for powering the helicopter), down link equipment, and camera.

Below you will find some of the more popular package deals, feel free to ask about mixing and matching, not all packages are the same to everyone.

The camera mount can take cameras up to 5 7/8" wide, 6" tall, and 12" long including lens.  The MAX load allowed on the camera amount is 8 Lbs, including camera, downlink, batteries, etc.  Typical weights are 4-6 lbs, which then would not require much, if any, ballast weight to the rear.  At all times you must maintain CG on the mainshaft. 

With the e-Observer kit you get our standard aluminum head, including blade grips, our lighter weight Magnum tail gearbox with 6mm input AND output shaft, HD tail rotor hub, and aluminum tail blade grips.

The e-Observer is available in Orange or Black G10 frames

And has an available body that can be painted to personalize the heli for your business..

The heli can be setup for night flying, with the addition of 810mm Night blades from MSComposites, glow wire, and chem sticks, as seen in this Monster Quest video.  Putting a thermal imaging camera up front gives you the ability to do night searches for people or animals, (or the occasional Bigfoot), and gives Law Enforcement another tool to use for night surveillance.

At this time, there are 2 motors that we suggest using with your e-Observer, the X-Era 4035 300Kv, and the Scorpion 4035 500Kv.

Both motors work well with the 12s battery systems, with the nod going to the X-Era for the lower Kv rating making gearing a little easier.

The Powerjazz ESC seems to be bullet proof (remember to order the programming card), the Castle Creations HV 110 ESC also works well.
